T-Mobile calls back Bold and Curve

28-01-2009: Since yesterday afternoon, the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve are (temporary) not sold with T-Mobile anymore. According to internal messages, the sales is hold up due to technical problems.

By: Tim Wijkman

Yesterday afternoon, T-Mobile immediately took the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve out of the shelves, as the independent telecomblog MobileCowboys notified us today. According to an internal message that was sent to all stores of T-Mobile, the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve generate far more data traffic than the users of the device really use. Due to this, customers would be confronted with extra costs.

Are there problems with the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve with T-Mobile?
Are there problems with the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve with T-Mobile?

Both T-Mobile and BlackBerry couldn't give a response to MobileCowboys yet. With this, uncertainties round the hold-up of the sales remain. In the rumour circuit there even are messages about a call-back action that would be planned at the moment. Although it is commendable that T-Mobile reacts to customers very quickly, it is strange that both T-Mobile and BlackBerry haven't wanted to react to the circumstances so far. This strengthens the feeling that T-Mobile and / or BlackBerry is planning a call back action in silence and great haste at the moment.
