15-08-2007: The Korean producer today presented three very special devices, namely a compact dual-slider, a new Bang & Olufsen device for the upperclass and a delightful music slider.

A Symbian device, a device for the Bang & Olufsen lovers and a music slider were presented today by Samsung. Something for everyone you would say, concerning both the area of appearance and of functionality. All devices are stylish in their own way, but totally different.
Samsung i450
The i450 is the newest Symbian Samsung device. Because the slider operates on the Symbian system it is very dynamic and expandable with the user's favourtie programs and applications. The triple-band device offers a nice large 262.000 colours TFT display which is very clear. The musicplayer, videoplayerand Flash player will be perfect to use when it comes to the visual aspect. The Samsung i450 is made for the middle section of the market, something that you can clearly see at the integrated 2 megapixel camera at the back of the device and the VGA camera at the front. Special with the Samsung i450 is that it can slide on two directions. On one hand the keyboard can be slid down and on the other hand an extremely large speaker is revealed when the top of the device is slid upwards.

The HSDPA and UMTS support make sure that the internet and e-mail are reachable with a nice speed. The memory capacity of the Samsung i450 can be described as average with 35 mB of storage, which is expandable. The stereo bluetooth support makes sure that wireless bluetooth headsets can be used with the device. In this way everyone can also listen to music wirelessly. The well-known navigation key changed into a handy scrollwheel with the Samsung i450 and this enlarges the comfort.

Samsung F310 Serenata
Several years ago, Samsung started her Bang & Olufsen range, which only consisted out of one device so far; the Samsung Serene. This exquisite device works with regular keys that are placed in a circle and it is quite expensive (about 1000 euro). The device does not have much to offer when looking at functionality. Samsung today presented the first expansion within the Bang & Olufsen range, and again we are talking about a rarely designed device. The Samsung Serenata, the nice nickname the device has received, also got the official product name Samsung F310.

The Samsung Serenata is a slider phone which can be operated with a somewhat smaller and more modern scrollwheel. The 262.000 colours TFT touchscreen offers a clear view and user friendliness. The internal memory of four gigabyte makes sure that there is enough room for all needed files and that comes in quite handy when you think of the integrated musicplayer. Internet and e-mail are reached within an eyeblink, this because the lovely gadget is equipped with UMTS, HSDPA and EDGE support.
The Samsung Serenata, or the Samsung F310, will be available at the Bang & Olufsen shop, the jewellery store and selected telecom shops starting November. Samsung F330
Today's final device is the Samsung F330, which is made for the middle section of the market. This device can be described as a youthful music slider. The Samsung F330 offers several touch-sensitive keys and a regular key in order to keep the navigation simple. This navigation key instantly changes into musical keys when the music player is used. The musicplayer makes sure that the owner of the Samsung F330 can swing everywhere, but for doing this there has to be sufficient memory capacity present. The 20 MB of internal memory will not fullfill our expectations but that is also why Samsung enabled the user to expand the memory with help of MicroSD and TransFlash memorycards. Besides the musicplayer, the stereo FM radio with RDS can also be used for listening to music.
The 2 megapixel camera is nicely implemented into the back and the small camera at the front, which is a VGA camera, will make sure that the user can also make videocalls. The display of the Samsung F330 can be described as good, this namely is a 262.000 colours TFT display and this is as clear as we are used to with Samsung.
