Photo of first Samsung Bada?

12-11-2009: Bada will become the name of Samsung's own intuitive and consumer-focused operating system. The system will only be announced in 2010, but the first Samsung Bada device already showed up today.

By: Willeke de Haas

It has only been oen day ago that we wrote about Samsung's new operating system, which should be on the market next year. Samsung Bada, which is Korean for ocean, will be packed with rick functions and apps and will bring the world of apps to the consumer.

Today we received an image of what could be the very first Samsung Bada phone. Whether the image is authentic is something we don't know, this could might as well be a 'Photoshop case' from a very creative Samsung fanatic.

Is this the first Samsung Bada Phone?

We cannot derive a lot of details from the image, but it is quite distinctive that there is no camera lense in the top corner of the device, which could mean that UMTS and HSDPA are not presen, something that we would think rather strange. On the other hand, it is visible that the device will have a large touchscreen, in Samsung's case probably an AMOLED display.

The first Samsung Bada devices are planned for the start of 2010. In the first quarter of next year, we expect the announcement of the first Bada device.
