25-01-2010: Today the HTC Obsession was first caught on photo. This multimedia monster with WiMo7, a 1 Ghz processor, HD video recording and a 5 megapixel camera will soon be announced.

If the photo is authentic is something we don't know, because HTC's creative fanatics are also not sleeping, but this could might as well be an image of what the HTC Obsession could look like in real-life. If the HTC Obsession, the new high-end multimedia monster of HTC, looks like this, the expectation is that a lot of consumers will be running hot for the device.

If the rumours are true, the HTC Obsession will become the obsession of every tech-geek and high-end phone lover. The HTC Obsession is quick, sexy and super smart with her 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor, her compact size of 112 x 56 x 11,7 mm and her expanded Windows Mobile 7 functionality. Concerning multimedia, a 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording is present, expandable internal memory, an expanded music and video player and of course the best internet support you can think of.

However, if we take a close look at the photo, we can clearly see that the interface of the device resembles that of Android smartphones, although the specs indicate it should be Windows Mobile 7. The position of the keys and the looks of them also indicate this.

Will HTC plan a big press conference next month at the Mobile World Congress and will she reveal her HTC Obsession? Or do we have to wait a little longer before the Obsession will find its way to officialness? Rumours go that the device will come to the shops with the name HTC Touch Diamond 3. Via
