RSS feed van GSM Helpdesk NederlandRSS feed van GSM Helpdesk Nederland
Mobile Phone Helpdesk offers users of an RSS reader, an RSS feed. With this feed you will always be up-to-date with the latest telecomnews at the Mobile Phone Helpdesk website.

What is an RSS feed?
An RSS feed can be regarded as a "source of information" and is built-up in particular stringent rules. An RSS feed can publish certain information of a website (for example news) on another location. This can be at some other website, but also at your own computer.

What can I do with RSS?
In short: An RSS feed provides you with the latest "headlines" or "news headers". You can collect RSS feeds of all your favourite (news)websites in an RSS reader. This RSS reader will automatically check all RSS feeds every once in a while, whether there are new "news headers".

If your RSS reader found new news articles at the websites you selected, your RSS reader will give you a sign. In this way you will know directly which news is placed on a certain website, without even surfing all the way to this site. If you find a certain header interesting, you can open this article at the concerning site with oly one click. You do not even have to type in the website address. It can not get easier!

What do I need for this?
In order to receive RSS feeds, you need an RSS reader. These are often available for free and for all types of computers (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.). The most familiar RSS readers are:
  • FeedReader - FREE, compatible with Windows
  • RSSreader - FREE, compatible with Windows
  • AmphetaDesk - FREE, compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac

Does it cost money or do I have obligations?
No, absolutely not. RSS feeds are free and only keep you up-to-date with the latest news on websites you selected. If you do not want to receive any news from certain websites, you just remove the feed from your RSS reader and you will not receive the news of this website any longer. Furhermore, you do not have to report any personal information, so you will not receive any SPAM and you do not have any obligations.

How do I collect RSS feeds?
RSS feeds are some kind of internet pages, as we discussed earlier. If you fill in the addresses of these "internet pages" in your RSS reader, your RSS reader will "frequent" the feed regularly in order to inform you about the latest news.
